What Is Raj Yoga?
Classical Jyotisha treats the four kendra houses (1, 4, 7, 10) as the structural pillars of a life — self, home, partnership, career — and the three trikona houses (1, 5, 9) as the houses of merit, fortune, and dharma carried forward from past effort. The Three Ways a Raj Yoga Forms
A kendra lord and a trikona lord can connect three classical ways: sitting together in the same house (conjunction), aspecting each other across the chart's only universal aspect — the 7th house from each other — or occupying each other's houses entirely (parivartana, or sign exchange). A single planet ruling both a kendra and a trikona simultaneously is considered the strongest form of all, since no second planet is even needed to complete the link.
Why the Same Yoga Can Play Out Very Differently
Raj Yoga's real-world weight depends heavily on the dignity of the two planets involved — one formed by two exalted lords in a strong house reads very differently from one formed by two debilitated lords barely connecting.
